What is a Prefab?
Unity’s Prefab system allows you to create, configure, and store a GameObject complete with all its components, property values as a reusable Asset.
When you want to reuse a GameObject configured in a particular way – like a non-player character (NPC), prop or piece of scenery – in multiple places in your Scene, or across multiple Scenes in your Project, you should convert it to a Prefab. This is better than simply copying and pasting the GameObject, because the Prefab system allows you to automatically keep all the copies in sync.

Adding Trees & Grass:
|
Step 1. Click on the terrain in your hierarchy.
Step 2. In the inspector- find the tree button. Go down to edit trees. Step 3. Click the circle target on the menu that opens up. There are 4 trees there by default on Unity. Step 4. Change the density (80 is really dense). Stamp them into scene. You can also add one at a time through the assets folder (prefab). |
